Steven Webb
SPI is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Steven Webb to its consulting team.
Steven has an incredibly distinguished 36-year career in public education. His service included experience at every level at school districts in both Washington state and California. He served as the superintendent of school systems as well as a deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal, associate principal, high school teacher, and coach.
During decades of leadership, Steven was adept in generating revenue for school districts and overseeing large projects. His technical savvy ensured schools could provide digital learning by leveraging powerful and secure wireless networks.
His leadership extended to mobilizing partnerships and finding revenue to provide Family-Community Resource Centers to poverty-affected districts. Additionally, he helped deliver new and innovative educational choices for students.
At the national level, Steven has been a member of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), Urban Superintendent’s Association of America, the Horace Mann League, the League of Innovative Schools, AASA’s Digital Consortium, Western States Benchmarking Consortium, AASA’s National Commission on Reimagining Schools, Educational Research Development Institute (ERDI), National Coalition of Community Schools, and the National Consortium of School Networking.
Steven served as chair of the superintendent’s advisory council for Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools and for the National Coalition of Community Schools.
To name but just a few of his national and state leadership awards, Steven received AASA’s and Institute for Education Leadership’s Superintendent Leadership Award and Washington State Superintendent of the Year Award. He was named a finalist for AASA’s National Superintendent of the Year. The U.S. Department of Education named him a “Future Ready Leader,” and “Education Week,” the nation’s largest education trade journal, named him as a “Leader to Learn From.”
Steven’s extensive experience and ability will benefit SPI clients interested in expanding their education presence.
