Sid Sanders has broad and extensive experience planning, designing, and constructing the built environments for healthcare and higher education institutions. Having recently retired as the Senior Vice President for Construction/Facilities Design and Real Estate Management of a major medical complex in Texas, he is known and respected in this field. Previously, he was responsible for a $5 billion, capital construction program, overseeing a multi-hundred-million-dollar real estate portfolio and a three-million-square-foot medical office building portfolio.
Sid served a large, Texas higher education system as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction where he was responsible for a $5.0 billion capital construction program for over a dozen facilities encompassed within the system. Additionally, he served as Physical Plant Director at a major university, overseeing the facility operations of facilities that exceeded 15 million square feet.
Before managing facilities on higher education campuses, Sid managed a health care capital construction program for one of the largest state agencies in Texas. Prior to that, he was the managing partner of a regionally based architectural/planning firm with a wide range of civic and commercial clients.
Sid received a professional degree in Architecture from University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Honors, and an MBA in Finance from University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Beta Gamma Sigma honors.
