Scott Bangle
Scott Bangle joins the Strategic Partnerships, Inc. (SPI) Team as a consulting partner from California. His 40 years of experience in managing significant land and water holdings for city, county, and special district agencies have provided him with unique perspectives and expertise.
Through his service as the former Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District director, Scott was at the forefront of innovative collaborations that benefited agencies, the public, and the environment.
Throughout his career, Scott has been actively involved in professional organizations and held various leadership positions. He is the former president of the California Association of Regional Park and Open Space Administrators (CARPOSA), former president of the National Association of County Park and Recreation Officers (NACPRO), and former commissioner for the National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA) Commission of Accreditation. He also has served on the Governor’s California Roundtable on Recreation, Parks, and Tourism.
Scott also has been an elected water district director, appointed conservation district director, and city parks and recreation commissioner. He was inducted into the American Academy for Parks and Recreation Administration in 2015 and received the NACPRO Lifetime Achievement award in 2020.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in management from California Coast University, a Bachelor of Science in workforce development and education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and a Master of Science in recreation, sports, and tourism from the University of Illinois.
