Joe Armendariz
Strategic Partnerships, Inc. (SPI) consultant Joe Armendariz has the honor of being recognized as one of the most effective business and civic leaders in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
In 2004, Joe was elected to the Carpinteria City Council, a coastal city in California with a reputation for environmental protection and citizen environmental activism. He was re-elected to the council in 2008.
Joe has also been recognized for his political leadership and community involvement by local media outlets, including the Pacific Coast Business Times, Latino Today, and others. He was named one of the 50 most influential Latinos on the Central Coast by Latino Today, and the Santa Barbara News-Press listed Joe as one of the 50 most influential individuals in Santa Barbara.
Joe has provided government relations, coalition development, and issues support for a number of organizations and associations in California. And, he has been involved with public education, most recently with Allan Hancock Community College and Santa Barbara City College.
Joe’s accomplishments in the area of economic development have also been recognized in California. He served as the past chair of the Santa Barbara County Economic Vitality Committee and the Santa Barbara County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Group. He is a founding member of the Santa Barbara County Broadband Task Force.
Joe has testified on issues at the federal level of government as well as at the state and local levels of government. His broad knowledge of the public sector will be of great benefit to clients working with the SPI Team.
