Kevin Scott has been reappointed to the Gulf Coast Authority (GCA) Board of Directors by Gov. Greg Abbott. His term will end Aug. 31, 2026.
The GCA is responsible for providing its district’s water system, controlling water pollution and handling waste disposal. The authority also conducts studies and research on managing water pollution and waste disposal.
Scott was originally appointed to the Board in February 2018. He is the current co-owner and funeral director of a funeral home in Alvin. Scott holds a master’s degree in educational management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He was also certified as a funeral director from St. Louis Community College.
