Holmes said he expected Wolf would put together a team and that one of the early members of that team likely would be Kimbrough, who he said, "brings a vast experience in working with state agencies to help them change."
TTC Chair Deirdre Delisi quickly injected that Kimbrough "WILL be coming on" as a member of the group. "I have known Jay Kimbrough for many years, and he has a long history of helping successfully transform state agencies. He will be a welcomed addition to the team," she said.
Delisi said she expects Kimbrough "will be on the ground and ready to work beginning Monday."
Commissioner Fred Underwood closed the commentary at the meeting by quoting Gen. George S. Patton and used it as a commentary on how the committee should proceed. "Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will provide you with their ingenuity." Underwood said the decision to seek Wolf to chair the group "has taken a lot of thought and study," adding that the commission is looking forward to working with Wolf.
